Some catholics do love CCM!

I came across this CCM station in Tampa Bay FL. It's run by the Bishop of the Diocese of St. Petersburg.

Sounds like a typical CCM! :) I am listening to their online stream. (and enjoying it) So looks like not all Catholic owned Radio is ETWN or so forth :)

My first radio boss, Tom Derzypolski, was instrumental in getting Spirit 90.5
established, and I have enjoyed listening to the CCM programmming there
while traveling through the Tampa area.

By contrast, a station in our market just switched to EWTN, which I find just
totally boring, with no music In fact, almost every Christian station here is either preachers, talk or has a really poor signal. I actually like K-Love the best but can barely pick it up.

I've started up my internet station again partly out of a lack of formats I like in this market! <P ID="signature">______________
Proudly remembering the days of the hometown "country giant" radio stations now at

As a big talk radio listener (hence the screen name) and someone who works in radio-content - I prefer separate religious music and religious talk radio stations in a market.

So talk radio fans like myself, don't have to wade through tons of music to get to the talk. The same could probably be said for religious music fans - who probably don't want to wade through tons of talk to get to the music.

I'm Catholic and I really enjoy the Relevant Radio talk radio we have up here (which aires EWTN shows) - it is really stimulating and I listen daily. I don't find it boring - but obviously, I'm a little biased in favor of talk programming.
