Some Clear Channel Talk Programming Heard on WWPR HD2

Last night I heard part of Sean Hannity's show on Power 105's HD2. This morning it simulcast part of John Gambling's program originating at WOR 710 AM.
The HD2 had been running an open carrier since July as One Caribbean Radio, which had leased it, stopped providing programming to it.
Perhaps CC will be using WWPR HD2 to air some of its WOR and Premiere talk shows on FM. But at the moment, much of the time it is still broadcasting an open carrier.

WWPR HD2 appears to have settled into a continuous simulcast of WOR 710 AM.
As in the past, this is one of the strongest HD signals in New York.

BTW XCountry, alternative rock, similar to what had been heard on WRXP has been airing for over a year on WAXQ HD2. They carry Clear Channel's Alternative Project, which has dj's.

Interesting -- Wonder if they are using this for other purposes right now with Sandy going on?

Apparently xmusicmatt is correct. Now that a few days have passed since Sandy came through, WWPR HD2 has reverted to broadcasting a continuous open carrier. They have been doing this for 4 months, except for the sporadic WOR simulcasts this past week.
One Caribbean Radio leased the channel, provided it with about a week of programming in late June, and has kept it silent since then. Strange.

I heard at one point this week some of the WOR talent was using a studio next to Lite's due to WOR's own technical issues from Sandy.... So I am wondering if that was partly why WWPR HD-2 had WOR on it..

Must have seemed strange to J.J. Kennedy ... come to think of it, she is back working for her old employer again.

WWPR HD2 is broadcasting tonight intermittent snippets from Delilah's show on WLTW. They sound like voicetracked segments of her program. A few seconds into a song the audio would be cut off, and a short while later there would be more talk by Delilah. Some of the segments have been repeated several times.
Perhaps someone made mistakes in making studio computer settings, throwing this voicetracking work onto the HD2. I would guess no one in the studio is aware of this, as they may not be paying any attention to what airs on the HD2.

Barry's right! This morning, it was snippets of the morning show on Lite FM, and just a few minutes ago, snippets with Christmas Music including WEDNESDAY as the day, and the slogans, "All Christmas All the Time", "You found the Christmas Music Station", and "All Christmas through the Holidays". Could there be a flip to christmas at 5 PM today ???

Just Now (Edit): WWPR HD2 Including other CC stations (Mix 94.5) mymix945.com, 92.1 The Coast and IHeartRadio christmas channel online! There are many takes went wrong going live and being repeated!
*Another example that HD Radio doesnt exist and/or noone cares about it!*

Also, with CC's acquisition of WOR, former Lite talent Valerie Smaldone (she does an Internet-only talk show on WOR's website) is reunited with the company.

The situation with WWPR 105.1 HD2 seems quite weird.
The website for One Caribbean Radio has an audio stream which frequently mentions they are on 105.1 HD2, as does their home page. Yet the HD2 had been broadcasting open carrier for months.
Then 105.1 HD2 sprang back to life a few weeks ago with simulcasts of WOR, and more recently has been carrying audio of personalities voice tracking shows from WLTW and Clear Channel stations in other parts of the country. There has been no mention on the air of One Caribbean Radio since last June. Yet the radio display continues to spell out that name.
Can anyone shed some light on why this stuff may be happening?

Clear Channel some odd reason has a prod studio PGM output "routed" to WWPR 105.1 HD-2.. My guess for why your hearing VTing etc..

To answer "why no Caribbean Radio?" ...my guesses either a) not getting their signal to Clear channel's facility to be routed to the HD-2 or more likely b) LMA Check not clearing or not being paid.. I am guessing the later.. because if Clear Channel was making money from OCR they would ensure the signal was up [and if I was OCR I would ensure that CC was broadcasting my programming that I am paying for airtime for because who wants pays something for nothing]..

It certainly makes sense that One Caribbean Radio may not be paying Clear Channel what they owe for the use of WWPR HD2. They had indicated on their website back in early July that they have been having financial issues. What I do not understand is why CC would continue to show One Caribbean Radio on the channel display, and not go ahead and run some other programming. They have plenty of content from IHeartRadio they could put on there, as they do on their other HD2's. It also seems odd that CC apparently permits One Caribbean radio to continue mentioning on their website and stream that they are broadcast on WWPR HD2, when they have not actually been on there for over four months.
