I'm not sure exactly what's going on, but 1360 is currently bringing back the sound of KXOL. I'm not sure if this is just a Sunday night thing, but it's really cool.

There's a blurb about this on Mike Shannon's dfwradiohistory.com website. (formerly known at knus99.com)
It is apparently a weekly show.

It's sundays only 6p-8p. Mike Shannon and John Lewis are doing an exceptional job,and its only been on the air for 2 weeks. They had the former KXOL announcer Norm Alden on.He was one of the original KXOL staff members from 1947,and he is now a Hollywood character actor and voice actor for Hanna-Barbera cartoons. George Carlin will be another guest soon. George was on the air there in the early 1960's.

So they're doing comedy? ? Please tell me what KXOL did so I can know ......

Is this the same Mike Shannon who did WBAP traffic? I haven't heard him on 820 is he still on, then again i can't stand Rush or Sean!

The one and the same and he is still there, plus doing traffic for WFAA-TV on saturday mornings.
