Oh, there can be some much longer tropos and some shorter E-skips under rare conditions.
In 1973, I picked up KEGL which was then and still is on 97.3 in Dallas-Fort Worth from Gainesville FL, by way of BOTH tropospheric ducting AND E-skip a few months later.
I have received WSB-TV, Atlanta in Miami by E-skip when they were analog channel two in the 1960s, and also SuperStation Seventeen by Tropo in the 1980s.
It was on that last day that I learned that while the SuperStation was running national spot breaks, channel seventeen was advertising local Atlanta merchants.
