Some Interesting ones from Norcal

Been keeping a little tab lately on some that I feel are impressive...

I'm out here in Winters, CA (between Sac and the Bay) and tonight at about 9:30 PST I brought in KFWB, (LA, CA 5kw)

A few weeks back, in the early morning, KERI 1180 (Bakersfield) came in loud and clear in Novato (north Bay)

And the most impressive IMHO, happened two saturdays ago in the middle of the day... I got KWOD 106.5 (Sac 50KW) all the way down past Hwy 152 pretty solid, and intermittently down past Hwy 145/I-5 Junction. The Last one I brought in from Sac had to be KWOD's sister KRXQ 98.5 (also Sac 50KW) all the way down to HWY 198 and I-5...Was only until the bleed-in from KDFO started is when I started to lose KRXQ...Pretty impressive I would think, am I off my rocker?

All of this in an 04 F-250

Since you are in Corning, try the following:

103.7 KRZR out of Fresno
95.7 KJFX out of Fresno
95.5 KLOS Los Angeles

All heard on I5 south of Corning all the way back to Sacramento on a winter night before a cold front came into Northern California. I've heard KRZR several times when we get that cold foggy inversion that lasts for weeks during the winter.

On the rare occassions that KSTE goes off the air, CISL from Vancouver, BC can be heard with a reasonable signal in Sacramento.

If you really want to have some fun get yourself a good VHF/UHF tv antenna and do some TV DXing.
