It was also why game shows like Family Feud, Tic Tac Dough, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy flourished in the evening. (Then again, we also got Police Surgeon and The Diamond Head Game because of it.) The Muppets also became big stars (beyond Sesame Street) as a result of this rule.
