Some ION markets have added another subchannel

WHPX-TV channel 26-5 of New London, CT...but why? Won't that just rob bandwidth away from WXPX-TV 26-1? Also, has QVC ever been available over the air before?

At first the pic was in full screen and the bug in the corner said HD this morning. At last check the picture is shrunk down and the bug was changed from HD and now says "On Air". I hope they change it back to HD again. I didn't notice a quality difference on any of the other channels when it was on in HD earlier.

It was never in HD. What they fixed is the aspect ratio, but they fixed it by adding black bars instead of changing their encoder settings.

Yesterday morning it said QVC HD on my screen and it actually looked to be in HD. It was changed shortly after. That's when they shrunk the pic down with the black bars, took off the word HD and added the words "Over the air".

Looks like the ION channels put everything back in full screen. Yesterday they seemed to be experimenting and various subchannels were in different dimensions. All seems to be normal now.

26(v), 68(v) and 69(v) all are carrying the 5 screens in the same order. 58(v) is currently running two screens. Ion Life on the .1 and Ion on the .2.

Update: 58(v) 40(t) is Ion Life on .1, Ion on .2, Qubo on .3, Shop on .4 and QVC on the .5. WDPX has run the main Ion on the .2 for as long as I can recall. They ran Qubo on the .1 until lately.

Update: Channels 26(v), 58(v), 68(v) and 69(v) are now all running HSN on their .6. I noticed 68(v) running HSN on 11/19 and the others on 11/20. All four channels now feature six screens each.

I don't have Cable, I don't have Satellite Cable. I just have a Magnovox Converter Box, with that and a good antanna, I get most local channels pretty well.
For this one, yes, I get both QVC on 68.5, and (Home Shopping Network on 68.6-this one just happened this week)
