Some more new CW affiliates

They list WKYT(Lexington) and WYMT(Hazard, KY), both of which are CBS stations and WAGT(Augusta, GA) and KTVZ(Bend, OR) both of which are NBC stations....does that mean that they will drop their respective networks, pick CW up as secondary, or on cable-only stations?

Secondaries(WKYT/WYMT) and digital(WAGT/KTVZ).

I think in Lexington and Hazard the situation may involve the digital
channels of those stations. WKYT and WYMT are both CBS afilliates in
the two cities. UPN had a digital subchannel on both stations. WB
programming in Lexington can be seen on cable on WBKI-34, the WB
station in Louisville carried on cable channel 17. so it's most
likely that CW programming in Lexington will be seen on both digital
with one of WKYT's digital subchannels and on cable with WBKI.

WYMT could use it....Green Acres and some other crap on at 4pm....and simulcasts of WKYT News at 5:00 and 5:30, when WKYT is available on Hazard cable systems...they could stick CW programming from 4p to 6p and get better ratings than with what they are airing now.

Though, I have to say, WYMT's local news is quite entertaining and as local as local news can get. I think up until a few years ago they still had the boards for weather, not a "green screen".

Well, I guess KYTX has to be content with CBS once their UPN digi-cast is over...KCEB really needs to do something soon with their signal if they're going to get any viewership for their new affiliation.

Hi everyone:

Reading a little further down the article, I spotted this interesting item....

QUOTE: WKYT (and WYMT) and WCVI are UPN affiliates. END QUOTE.

Ummm...Someone feel free to correct me if I'm somehow wrong (which I doubt I am, but you never know these days :) ), but you would think that an online publication such as BROADCASTING & CABLE would know that WKYT is *actually* a CBS affiliate. As such, B&C would only mention them due to their obvious ties to WYMT, which is probably the station they're really referring to.

Thoughts?

Cheers :)

UPN is on a digital subchannel of WKYT-DT.
