Some more news on "Guiding Light"

The following info comes from the CBS.com Daytime Homepage:

Programming Note
The two stations who currently air Guiding Light on a one-day delay at 9am will do the following to catch up with the show in order to begin airing the broadcast on a same day basis at 9am on Monday, September 18.
WGME-TV Portland, Maine will air the Thursday 9/14 episode on Friday 9/15 at 9am and the Friday 9/15 episode at 10:00am – resulting in a two hour Guiding Light block.
WSBT South Bend, Indiana will air the Thursday 9/14 episode on Friday 9/15 at 9am and the Friday 9/15 episode of Guiding Light at 1:37am.

Well it looks like CBS will have a 9AM feed for Guiding Light. They already have a 10AM ET/9 CT feed for the show, as well as its traditional 3PM ET/2PM CT feed. Also I'm hearing WNEM is putting the show back on the air sometime this month after a ten-year hiatus. Bpatrick, know anything about this?

Somebody answered this before I even saw it.

Seriously, GL is on MY5, which in primetime will
be Flint's MyNetwork affiliate, but during the day
will repeat some of WNEM's syndicated shows,
such as Jeopardy!

Now why can't KOVR put GL on a subchannel?

Addendum: It's channel 5-2.

Off-topic but a bit of a surprise and it's
about soaps: I've just seen at zap2it that
All My Children is now airing at 12 Noon
(Central) in Birmingham, AL. I was living
in Birmingham when AMC debuted in 1970;
then-ABC affiliate WBRC always delayed it
in favor of noon news. When WCFT/WJSU
got ABC on WBRC's becoming a Fox o&o,
they left it at 10 AM, the same time WBRC
had carried it since the early '70s. Now
ABC 33/40 is moving its midday news to
11 AM and airing the entire ABC daytime
schedule in pattern, something I never
recall being done in Birmingham.

The new 9:00am ET feed must be for the Eastern time zone only, as that is the
"dead hour" between whatever CBS calls its morning show this month and the
existing alternate feed of GL--but on the east coast only.

CT and PT go right into the existing 10/9 GL feed at 9 after the 7-9am stanza.

MT is probably running a kinnie of "Arthur Godfrey Time" at 9. (Just kidding ;D)

bpatrick...

that's really interesting that "All My Children" is airing on ABC 33/40 (the conglomerate of two former CBS stations on opposite ends of the state of Alabama as a result of WBRC being bought by Fox in 1996 and WTTO wasn't viewed a choice for ABC affilation) at 12 pm central. i know for the longest time, 31 out of huntville (waay) and 2 out of nashville (wgne/wkrn; back when the northern alabama edition of tv guide carried listings for nashville) carried amc at 12 pm central (the show's normal time slot). is that still the case for 31 today?
