some new AM stations

I'm in fort walton beach, fl and im starting to hear more american stations:

600 - news/talk
660 WNBC with howard in the mornings
680 unkonwn - coast to coast am
700 - WWL? Ohio
810 traffic and weather mixed with mexican crap
1100 cleveland WWWE (I believed they changed)
1560 Radio Disney
1620 - coast to coast AM over our local pensacola news station
1650 Radio Disney (virgina)

-Rob

That should be WLW from Cincinnati at 700 AM (rather than WWL which is New Orleans).

1100 AM in Cleveland is now WTAM. It was formerly WWWE.

Nice to hear that two stations from the Buckeye State are booming into the Sunshine State.

1560 is in New York City, was WQEW probably still is with Radio Disney
600 might be WSJS Winston-Salem I think 5000W, sometimes they get out
680 should be WPTF Raleigh, they used to be heard down to Cuba but only about 20 miles north of Raleigh at night

But dude, when did you hear these logs?
660 WNBC with Howard (Stern) in the mornings???? ;)

must be a time warp in Fort Walton...

WWWE and WNBC?
hey rob, are your copying these down from an ancient list somewhere?

I'm sure that Rob, like me, simply does not accept the new call letters.

You can call yourself anything you want, but if you are trying to escape the past, you just can't with big signals like
WNBC and WWWE. Too many people will remember. It's been years but I still think of AM 1000 as WCFL, AM 670 as WMAQ,
and AM 1160 is "really" WJJD.

"...you're traveling through another dimension -- a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That's a signpost up ahead: your next stop: the Twilight Zone!"

Never mind those other guys, Rob. Whatever kind of radio you're hearing this stuff with, I want one!

I got WJZ on 770 the other night. And with careful nulling you can separate out WBZ Boston from synchronous WBZA Springfield.

Anybody know the zip code for East Pittsburgh, PA? I just heard someone reading election returns, and they asked people to write to them if they're hearing the broadcast. KDKJ or somesuch, I think the calls were?

actually, its w NNNNNNNNNN bc sorry but i hate sportz radio.

WFAN doesn't slide down like WNBC did.

1100 THEY were WWWE when we used to live outside of cleveland (back when WJW had that fancy TV8 logo)

Should also mention I heard Radio Disney on 1440 too weak to ID but not too many AM stations play "I kissed a girl"

Using a Crap Crane Radio Plus bought it to hear WSYR better back when we were still groundwave to it outside Vernon, NY. Even picked up Tic Toc (what I call it) out of Cuba way out there.

ahh the memories of Cleveland, not to mention the radio! WGCL 98.5 ROCKED we even won an atari game from them! I enjoyed listening to WMMS, too.. now they suck! (from what I heard)

-Rob

I don't know what you guys are talking about, when in Cleveland I listen to KYW on 1100 and when in Philly WRCV on 1060.
BTW: is Bruce Bradley still on WBZ everynight?

I couldn't believe it! I heard this guy who called himself Howard Stern on 66 W ENNNNN B C today...the language I heard coming out of this guy. The subject matter. I expect a big fine any day now!
