Some of you I know, some I don't

Hello everyone,

Just wanted to say hello to everyone.

I worked with Dave McCall, followed Hilton at PRR, and spent most of my life eating free food at the Simpson home in Tyrone. Get well soon Ted.

Where have you all worked at?

It will be nice to see the amount of experience to draw from on this board.

Holy crap, looked what the cat dragged in...

The list of people who have stayed at the "Hotel Cary Simpson" is long and distinguished. While I never had my own room, I did have a dresser drawer filled with Rolling Rock.

Where have I worked? Let's see... WIYQ, WTRN, WGMR, WVAM, WPRR, WQWK, WGLU, WPRR (again) and WFBG. Eight stations and I never left the Johnstown/Altoona television DMA. Dave McCall, townie DJ.

I to started with AMN---WTRN & WGMR. Left in 1980 to work at WVAM (ironically, was hired two days before the fire and ended up working out of trailers in the parking lot for two months) Did evenings at WVAM (All Country 1430) for 2 1/2 years. Left to work full time in corporate finance, but did weekends at X103 (now Beaver 103) in State College for 2 years, and finished my radio career doing weekends at WPRR from 1985 to 1990.

Yo...Greg Matthews here...I've been on the air for about 13 years now...and have been a part of just about every job you can have on the air staff...Chief Operator, Asst. Chief Operator, PD, MD, Prod Director, copywriter. Stations: WNBT AM/FM, WNKI-FM(#1 CHR for years in Elmira, NY), WPGI-FM, WNGZ- FM, WWLZ-AM, WCLI-AM, WKCW-FM, WGMR-FM, and WUBZ-FM/WPHB-AM. With about 3 years off in there someplace.

Hollywood shouldnt you be on the Wisconsin board? What do you think about getting Dave McCall to go do a shift at the rev with Hilton? Watch him squirm.... He loves his freedom and his new job.

I've had the new job for 14 months now. I think I'm done with radio, but I wouldn't rule out doing it for fun on occasion.

I had a good laugh at the "P Mock" name. Now I just have to figure out who you are, because I know you're not Penny Mock. Can you complete this sentence? "It's a good day for skiing and ________.

God Dave, there is a blast from the past name.

Next thing you know that someone will log on under the name H-Walker, P-Corran or B-Moses.

E-mail me Dave and let me know what is going on in your world.

A-ha! Remember when Penny came in and chopped up that cart rack, and said he was coming back to do the same thing to Brian? Loose cannon, that's what he is.

> Kiss it Harlow, pfffffft.

John Frederick, I know you are feeling better.

Do you still need the Buffett tickets?

What's the difference between Mono and Herpes?

Could it be Swayne?

We only had 5 listeners on WIYQ back in the day.

4 of us worked there. It can't be Brian because he is allegedly on the air right now.

I notice that "Torr", P Mock and babeontheair are all the same person. Hmmmmmm.

I think will just leave you hanging like the headsets on the phones you guys glued together so HW could not use her phone. HUNDRED, HUNDRED, OK fify.

Swayne or Simpson. Or perhaps Mike McKendree (who said "Sh*t!" on the air on the one and only day that WIYQ had a clear, static and hiss-free signal).

It could always be Mr. Stealth Account. I still think it is John Frederick.

Was McKendree ever in the building during the day back then?

I said "sheep dip."

Only something like two or three people know this stuff. And you are...
one of them.

What did we call the back room at WTRN where the IYQ studio was located?

The four people in the world who know this stuff are McCall, Harlow, Swayne and Simpson.

I am betting John Frederick.

Do you remember Kenny Myers busting the Copy Machine with his Butt Cheeks?

Maybe it is the King of Polka, Jo Jo.

If the room of plaid carpeting on the walls could talk, we'd all be in Jail.
