Some Questions I Have

Now that the FCC is allowing more AM stations to rebroadcast on FM translators, will WJUS from Marion finally be able to rebroadcast on 94.3 FM or will they have to wait until they move to Selma? According to the latest info, the CP for WJUS is set to expire sometime this year. (August I Believe!) I haven't read and/or heard anything else about them moving yet. Just wondering if they were still planning on making their move? Inquiring minds want to know.

To fortmill and/or anyone else interested. If WJUS is able to rebroadcast at 94.3 FM Adult Urban music would have a home on FM again, in Selma, albeit with a slightly smaller coverage area than the old WJAM FM. However this station would cover a radius of around 5 to 10 miles, once they upgrade to their licensed 205 watts of power. A friend that knows Mr. Glenn King told me that he was going to upgrade once he's able to rebroadcast WJUS.

Right now this station is still rebroadcasting WMBV from Dixon's Mills and still operates with less than 100 watts of power. This station has a very small coverage area but once they upgrade this coverage area will expand.

P.S. As of this posting, WJUS in Marion still signs off at Sunset, although they're licensed to broadcast with 34 watts at night.
