Some Quick Observations

Went back home to take care of my mom Monday thru this morning. Did some quick dial scanning, finding PRO and HJJ still sounding dry and predictable.Just lighted quickly on The Score...ehhh. No surprise to note 990 still dead LOL.

Th stations that stood out the most were the 1450 in West Warwick, with the updated MOYL, and WSTL 1220 with their local hosts and CCM music. The station sounds fresh and is trying to target a niche. Gotta give 'em credit. WADK is still doing its thing in Newport, while WJZS still sounds good. Coming back, the station I took the furthest was WEEI-FM 103.7. Took em way into CT before they faded out....caught the interview with Terry Francona.

Yeah 103.7 reaches further into Connecticut than any other Rhode Island FM station. I used to live in West Haven and could get the signal in my apartment using a decent indoor antenna.

where are their towers? weei-fm used to be weri in westerly where the tower was located. if they're still in the same location that would explain the CT coverage

ISTR that it moved from Westerly to Exeter in the '80's at some point. The same tower also has 99.7 on it as well.
