I see that WLGT 98.3 is now transmitting an RDS tag on its signal which reads "LITE FM". Is this being inserted locally or is it coming from the Charlotte mothership? And when did they dump the WMUM calls?

How long has WNBR 98.9 been broadcasting in mono? Or have they been doing mono since moving to their new Bethel tower and I just haven't noticed until now?

Where is the urban-formatted signal on 89.9 coming from? I listened for a TOH ID but never heard one.

Inquiring minds want to know...

The urban on 89.9 is probably WRVS at Elizabeth City State University.

98.3 has been programmed locally for a year... The WLNK stuff (except for Bob and Sheri) was dumped last March. WMUM calls were dumped around the same time. The RDS has been on for a month or two. 96.3/103.7 say "HOT FM" and the 94.1 part of Hank says "HANK". Nothing on 94.3 though.

That must have just happened... it was stereo last time I checked, and ever since they signed on in Bethel. It was mono when they were in Williamston though.

Like the poster below said, probably WRVS from ECSU.<P ID="signature">______________

Wow. I really must try to turn on my terrestrial radio more than two or
three times a year.

WWNK 94.3 will have "HANK" on the RDS soon. I am having trouble with the exciter out there, as some of you pointed out a few months back (thanks by the way) Our new Transmitter should be in next week sometime. You are welcome to come out and see the site if you like. There isn't a whole lot left from the old WRQR days. Some kids broke in right before I got here and shot up the place with paintball guns. My predecessor had dumpserized everything. I am testing the RDS with just the basic programming until I get the data stream from the Prophet to the Microwave to do the song and title. call the station (252)672-5900 my ext is 206. I will let you know when I will be out there and I will take you on the penny tour. I would have offered the nickel tour, but there isn't much there.
