That midget hasnt even had a big hit yet!!! None of his songs have hit the top 10 yet that I know. Kesha is horrible but at least shes had a big hit.
 
Because he's capable of releasing decent rhythmic hits. He can also rock rhythmic hits without auto tune, but at the same time he's open to using it when he "feels like it". It's easy to hate on him as grown ups, but remember, we were all kids, and when we were kids, we didn't care how young or old people were as long as we liked the songs. Now, as we get older and wiser, we shall also realize that music will still be music, and can still be good or bad, regardless of how old the person singing is.

I also think producers play a large role in how good or bad a song sounds. After all, I never see people running to stores or their internet music sites to download acapella's, so I give most of the credit to any artist I admire to the producer of the track.
 
I'm trying to think of a Pop equivalent to Bieber from the days way back when I was a kid...

Maybe Leif Garrett, when he first started his music career.
 
Well look at Usher. His voice is still high. But then again, look what happened to Lil Bow Wow. But then again again, Lil Bow Wow raps, not sings, and unlike singing, hip hop popularity is a phase, just like rock n roll, disco, jazz, blues,...etc was. Unfortunately for Lil Bow Wow, the hip hop generation (who are now the parents) kind of ended in late 2008. So, unless Bow Wow collaborates with someone who is still managing to shine through in the hip hop arena, or puts out something that is so hot that it's undeniable, he's pretty much done if he can't just sing. I'm sure he could do well on a house track or two.

Anyway, I wonder is Justin Bieber can outlast the predictions of his critics? What if he becomes the male version of Britney or Madonna, who just happens to keep going and going? The real question is how long will Lady Gaga last? Yes, she's had a bunch of successful hits, but do notice how many she's had in such a short space of time, and how many different sounds she's already covered. How long will Lady Gaga last at the fast pace rate she's going? Britney at least spaces out her stuff. I believe Madonna also spaced out the time of her releases as well. Lastly, keep in mind that Michael Jackson was able to manage getting through puberty.. and didn't all members of New Edition do the same?
 
There have always been and always will be artists for pre-teen girls to fall in love with and buy product from.
 
He picked up when the Jonas Brothers started to fizzle. Once his voice changes and/or he changes the hairdo he'll be washed up. It was smart for the record company to have him team up with Sean Kingston on Eenie Meenie(#15 this week on Billboard). Very bubble gum & teen chicks scream for more. "Baby" wasn't a bad tune either.
re Usher, How "OMG" is at #1 this week I'll never know. "Spotlight" has been the only one I've heard off the new album I like.
 
Spotlight is Gucci Mane f/ Usher and is not on Usher's album. And "OMG" is a hot song much better than "Eeenie Meenie" which is an okay song.
