Someone actually went back to work for B101

I just heard Sunday afternoon Mark Ambrose who did Sunday afternoons on B101 in the 90'son B101.Mark did some part-time work either on "The Hawk" or "Z100" when they were around .A nice guy and smart enough not to do it full time.
This tells me he is there just for fun and not to make a living at it.

Yes, I'm just back for the love of the business, the fact that it's in my blood, and oh, yes, the occasional paycheck (they actually PAY me for this !!!). Even after 9 years off the air, I still felt like I should be back in radio, again...I couldn't help myself...so, I'm back.
It's amazing how people pay attention to detail, on this site. Yes, I was also at 100.3, The Hawk...I think most people who have had the opportunity, have learned that radio is no place to make a secure living, anymore. We all live and learn, in this business. I've learned to do something else for a living, and keep radio for fun.

I actually owe my first job in radio to Mark. I took over his Sunday afternoon slot at WGNG when he left. I was there for "The Sounds of Ireland" and "The Chuck Stevens Golden Extravaganza"....the only two shows that actually got numbers! Thanks for leaving, Mark...I think.

Thanks, Mike. I see that you ended up doing quite well, for yourself. If I could've helped anyone in this business, I'm glad that it was you 8) !
