u should definitely do mornings at island. it will make u a man and a better performer.
 
A crazy addition to the no severance pay is the 90 non-compete arangments for radio and TV people. Unless you are continued to be paied after your firing for the period of the 90 day non-compete you should not be held to the 90 day non-compete! This is a right to work state and someone need to force a change with the noncompetes stations are binding good folk with! Both parties should have equal exposure don't you think???
 
Memo went up yesterday; afternoon drive on 92.3 will be changing. They are not renewing Marsha's contract. Best of luck MG - you will be missed.

something tells me that weather dave aiken will be at the helm of the pm drive show on r92. maybe with his old partner, will basturd. r92 put them on wknds to test things out a while back. less rock, more talk.

That'll be interesting if it comes to fruition. It has taken 2 Guys 5 or 6 years to get where they are in the market...meanwhile this will be the 3rd or 4th PM Drive change in the same time span. Does Dick have that kinda commitment outside mornings???
 
Was Marsh the person you were referring to when you started this thread, JJ? Did you end up telling her?
 
She was actually not the person I was talking about. I def would have told her. She is good people.

Why all the turn over? Jeff McHugh left the building. Within two years the entir KZL staff except for Murphy has changed. Terrie Knight was there for 15 years and Matthews for 10.

KRR needs to change the music. The morning show is extremely talented and have always done a great job. I can't understand why they have not updated their playlist. If numbers drop right after the am show (that plays no music) gets off the air, it seems like they might need to change something. You could probably have the best jock in the world and not see a lot of change. People get tired of hearing the same 20 or 30 year old songs for the 100th time. Don't get me wrong, I really like all the folks that work with KRR.

Dave Aiken... that is one cool guy!

i miss terrie. she was a sweetie. i literaly grew up listening to her...ever since 'KZL was 107-5 The Eagle back in the early 90's to that day a few years ago when she signed off for the last time. it was a sad moment.

now THAT is one station and talent i won't ever forget. i hope that one day she will re-surface somewhere....

Hopefully this will work out in the person's best interest either way it goes; getting out of radio might not be a bad idea. All we can do is wait and see what happens.

I had a feeling it might be her - if you go back and look at my message on the 7th and take the first letter of each sentence it will spell her name. I had to go all DaVinci code because I wasn't sure.
