Someone kick the WDRC Streaming Machine

The WDRC online stream is borked again... with a big huge delay from when you hear something on the air and the same song online. And its inserting commercials in the middle of songs also its cutting off all the DJ's.

Someone hit the reset button. :D

Tried calling or e-mailing someone there? I know Grahame Winters drops by here occasionally, but I can't imagine that monitoring this board is an every-single-day priority for her.

I'm not quite sure how effective contacting DRC-FM through their website will be. There's only e-mail links to sales managers at the station and the like, and the link for e-mail to "The Big D Morning Show" is broken - i.e. it's on the air right now, and the link inviting you to contact them is "mailto:/morning_show/." ::)

It is fixed this morning. (Thank you!)

BTW was driving last night and had my father in the car and we were listening to WDRC HD2 he was so happy to hear "his music" again and his eyes teared up when he heard the old jingles again. Told me he hasn't heard those Jingles since he was a kid.

He told me hes heading to Best Buy today to buy the portable HD radio they have on sale this week.

I think he liked it. :D

Kevin,

I went out and got an HD Radio when it first came out and I hated it. I couldn't pick up an HD signal from more then a few miles from the transmitters. I put that HD radio away and never touched it again. When I purchased my new car it had HD Radio built in (along with Sirius) and thats when I started playing with HD radio again, and I must say it has improved and I am a fan of it now.

I don't know what they changed, but I can listen to WDRC in HD almost into Springfield. I can pull in all the New Haven stations in HD here as well. And at nights I can sit in my driveway and listen to WFAN out of New York in HD as well. I don't know what they changed but it works good now.

All I had was one of those little $50 thingies from Insignia (Best Buy) and it was FM only. The lithium ion battery inside of it was a P.O.S. and wouldn't hold a charge properly. I had it out of state for a grand total of...once. :(

WDRC-FM is running elevated power HD (-14 dbc rather than -20 dbc), and that means that digital coverage should better match analog. I managed to get it to the Mass Pike on 84 a month ago when I went to Boston.

They are one of a few.
WDRC-FM is running -14
WPKT 89.1 down in Norwich is running -10 (or they have applied for it. Based on what I've received it sure seems like they are)
WPLR 99.1 is running -17
Those I know of.
WKCI-FM was running it for a while but they haven't in a while.
I believe WTIC-FM is running it now, however.

Not this evening. I was listening to Tom Kent online at work last night and the inserted ads and PSAs were consistently running long. They eliminated half of Genesis' "Invisible Touch" and all but the last verse of Jonathan Edwards' "Sunshine" in the same hour. I assume this is because Kent's show doesn't run on the same clock as the in-house programming, correct? Is there any way it can be adjusted at DRC?
