Someone needs to fix the traffic audio!

So I was listening to WAPI this afternoon when I noticed the traffic reports sounded a little odd. Through the magic of online streaming, I was able to rewind and listen again. Turns out they're playing the wrong traffic reports.

For Charlotte.

Oops. The last segment was fixed, but they overlaid the actual Birmingham traffic report with a commercial for Kohl's while the traffic bed was playing. D'oh.

So for a guy like me who isn't in this business of show, how does this sort of screwup happen? How does Birmingham get the report for Charlotte? I made a joke about it on Richard Dixon's Facebook page, since it happened during his show, but the post was taken down in record time. So they must have known about it, but it still took over an hour to fix it.

Chances are that reporter is in Atlanta, doing traffic for multiple stations... All it takes is labeling the report wrong when you load it into the system..... Then Birmingham gets the traffic that was meant for Charlotte... It would be interesting to see if Charlotte got Birmingham's traffic.....
