Someone please invade 87.9

Now this pirate is on 24/7. In the morning you hear jocks talk in creole and in the afternoons from 2pm tll whenever its music and the dj screaming loud. This signal can be heard from as far as parsippany and is killing Pulse in this area.

Posting message after message about pirates on a message board won't fix anything.

Everyday -- literally -- send a complaint to the FCC. Frame it as you can't hear (legit station) due to (pirate station). Send it everyday. See what happens.

If you really want to make a difference, write to your state senator and pitch 'em the idea of making the operation of an unlicensed radio station a felony, just like Florida. NJ needs money!

If you really want to get the FCC to crack down on them, E-Mail WPVI-DT in Philadelphia and tell them that you can't get their signal because there's a pirate on 87.9 bleeding over.

With as crappy as Channel 6's digital signal is, someone might just believe you.

how is that gonna work? 87.9 is analog and FM. WPVI's digital signal is no longer broadcasting on fm 87.7. how would this be considered interference?

No, say that the pirate on 87.9 is bleeding over onto TV channel 6, disrupting reception of WPVI-DT. The audio on 87.7 has nothing to do with it; the digital data stretches throughout the channel.
