Someone's paying to be on AM!

On the other hand, small class D signals with no audience may want to throw in the towel at this point.
It'll happen eventually. The timing would be when some housing developer wants to purchase the transmitter site land to build houses or apartments, or when the cost of maintaining the station totally exceeds any form of income. Even iHeart went through some rounds of trying to donate some completely depreciated AM stations.
