What I've come to find in the four years I've worked for Mix 94.1 is, they do not promote those who've been dedicated to their job. I bleed Mix 94.1 in my veins and have dedicated all my time to this company to only be held back in a shift that is commonly known as an entry level shift. First and foremost, I'm far from a beginner! I have "guest hosted" nearly every show on air here at Mix and have yet to move up shifts in the talent roster. I've never hosted an underground lounge nor have I been given the chance to host a remote in a club.

I ask the people on this board to offer me some professional advice. What should I do know?

Hang in there. Good things come to good people. Don't lose your positive attitude or it will never happen.

MIX's record would tend to disagree with your statement. Jason Rooney has been dedicated to MIX for years. He now is getting the opportunity, from within, to do afternoons. Tim, doing nights, although relatively new to the MIX world has been a dedicated CBS employee for 5 or 6 years if not more. Justin, for years, worked under two PD's as production director at MIX before earning his PD stripes.

Yes, hang in there. Continue to improve your skillset. Make sure that those in management are aware of your career desires. If you don't believe that they appreciate your talent then you have to move on. Set your sights on Beasley. They have to do something with STAR, KKLZ or both at some point in the near future.

More than all of this, you SHOULDN'T air your dirty laundry on an industry board. If you've spoken the same words to management as the ones written here it is likely that they know exactly who you are. If they've read your post it is also likely that you have done irreparable damage to your hopes of advancement.

Jason Rooney deserves his shot at afternoons. Jackster, I think that you need to get your story straight. There are several jocks ahead of you at Mix 94.1, such as Paul Sands, Kade, and Aubry who would have been considered for those positions first. I don't think airing your dirty laundry on a radio info board is going to help matters. It will only lead to bad karma. Mix 94.1 has a great full time staff with Mark and Mercedes in the Morning, Paul Sands on mid days, Jason Rooney on afternoons, Tim Stevens at night, and Kade on late nights. If you didn't get what you wanted, you should prabobly listen to one of those jocks and see what they're doing right. Also, take into consideration that each of those jocks are hard workers and have been employed by CBS Radio for quite some time, working their way up. The same will happen for you, just so long as you get smart and quit adding to the drama. Keep working hard. Quit being the victim.

Re: P.S Something about CBS VEGAS

P.S I have reason to believe that this post was written by a very angry part timer on Mix 94.1. (All of the full timers on Mix 94.1: Paul, Jason, Tim, and Kade are very happy with the changes and contine to work as a team.) I believe Jackster wants to cause even more drama for the station. All I can say is what goes around comes around. Those of you who are reading Jackster's posts, please don't take anything that he says seriously. Mix 94.1 is one big happy family, with the exception of a bitter part timer posing as Jackster on this board.

Re: P.S Something about CBS VEGAS

Then maybe it's time for me to take the show on the road. I'd call a few of the people I know on this board but I feel you would sway me another direction than I feel I should be going. What hurts me the most is, My Pd tells me "I'm one of his best" yet looks for a part timer to take over nights. I was doing a great job on the night show. I continuously fill in on the night show when someone is needed. Truely, It should've been mine. I guess some grudges are still holding with the guy I once was friends with to later see him become my pd. <P ID="signature">______________

Jackster LV is Eric Roberts

Jackster is Eric Roberts, former part timer on Mix, posing as Kade or Jenna Wilde because he likes to start drama and he is bitter. Kade and Jenna are both happy with the changes on Mix. Don't believe a word he says people. I'm urging you.

<<<<then maybe you should.....get over yourself.....it's not up to you to decide your reward for hard work and dedication.....you think you deserve it, but it's still not up to you. This kind of attitude shows a lack of confidence in yourself and in the staff you work with....not the attitude of a team player for sure......

Mix

I cannot imagine someone being bitter from their time at Mix 94.1... seemed like most people liked being there. Actually, I enjoyed working there except for the constant gossiping about drama being started by one particular individual. It's probably best for the station he isn't there anymore... I am sad to see Tom Mitchell is no longer there, he was a fun guy! Moving Jason Rooney to afternoon drive was a good move though... and putting Tim Stevens on nights was a good move as well... I'm sure it will be successful.

Re: Jackster LV is Eric Roberts

I disagree. This is a current employee who has not been very shy about expressing his views on Mix's recent hires. In my opinion, he has signed his own death warrant.
