Something different for WBLS

Instead of whining about PPM being unfair to WBLS, maybe ICBC should try a different Urban AC approach. Why not try what WENN 101.9 in Birmingham is doing? WENN is "Birmingham's Neo Soul Station". WBLS's formula is playing the Top 12 Urban AC songs (Charlie Wilson ,Alicia Keys and Robin Thicke 11,000 times a day) along with 1 or 2 old Urban songs. After the 1 or 2 old songs, it's back to the same 12 Urban AC songs again. WRKS isn't doing the Neo Soul thing. WHUR in Washington,DC is Neo Soul heavy. Seems to be working for them.

WBLS needs to do something, its old and past its expiration date. They need to do classic hip hop or something else to serve the community.
Its been doing the same thing for years and nobody has said anything now they do and WBLS thinks its unfair.Wheres the hankie?
PPm shows its down in the ratings then thats the way the cookie crumbles.

Dana Hall wrote about the New York Classics that WRKS and WBLS plays. There are New York and Philadelphia Neo Soul and House artists with some good music out right now. Their songs wont become New York Classics if they are not played on New York radio. I enjoy Alicia Keys and Charlie Wilson, but 11,000 times a day is too much. 12 songs (including Alicia and Charlie) plus an old Loose Ends or Fonda Rae song doesn't cut it.

This is a current House Jam that WBLS should be playing, but isn't. A real New York/New Jersey record. Hot in the clubs.
