Something hinky about KAZD's signal?

This week my signal strength meters have been bouncing all over the place when I tune to KAZD/55. The picture and sound are OK - no breakups - and if I didn't obsess over signal strength I would never have noticed anything amiss. It looks as if there's some sort of intermittent noise on RF 39, but not enough to impair reception.

Nothing appears wrong on adjacent RF 40 (KXTX/39), by the way.

KAZD seems to have stabilized today, albeit at a rather low signal strength. Perhaps they switched to a backup transmitter to make repairs.

Most of the time, such things can be attributed to a change/mishap on the receiving end or atmospheric conditions.

Well, apparently, not this time.

I'm observing the same behavior on RF-39. The signal quality meter is fluctuating at my location as well. And even more evidence is obtained from the Sencore analyzer. The raw power has been down about 3 dB since last week or so. Normally KAZD is the best here, at 27-28 dBmV but recently it's been measuring around 23-25 dBmV, quite strong indeed but a tad lower than normal.

Well, the last two nights it was fluctuating again. Apparently their repair didn't take.

Of course right after I posted that, it was fine again.

I think someone is monitoring this thread and throwing a switch every time I post an update :D
