It's true. It's a relatively new law which also includes a provision that fast food restaurants can't serve you if you're overweight. Next time you're in a Mc Burger joint you will notice that in addition to the vertical height measurement on the side of the doors (used to help identify robbers or other criminal types) they now have a horizontal measurement above the door. Employees are supposed to size you up upon entrance and can deny you service if they deem you "too wide." Google it.
Crazy place, this Los Angeles County.

What guy, what Radio station, who's program. L.A. County does not require you to go to a Gym, take a Shower, or seek a cure for your Hep A, B, or C, TB or HIV. All are welcome hereThis guy was talking about the lady who photographed the fat lady at the gym, then he said that LA County and it's 8 million residents require you to go to the gym or you get fined. Is this true? I googled and couldn't find any information on this.
The fact is this is a Radio forum, your question(s) would be better asked somewhere else~So what are the facts? Do some gyms in LA penalize you and fine you if you don't use them? And is this strictly an LA thing?

It was Bill O'Reilly
The way to know it's a hoax is to ask if there are any examples. I haven't seen any. AFAIC, if there were, we'd all hear about it, because the concept is just so outrageous. That tells me it's a hoax.
Last I checked, Bill doesn't have a radio show. And he's not in LA. So perhaps you didn't hear it on the radio. Bill has been known to exaggerate, if you know what I mean, especially about California.
It's strictly a hoax thing. And definitely not, as Hot Hits says, a radio thing.
Perhaps you would like to provide us with a few examples of said exaggerations?
It's off topic, but since you ask, the point might be that THIS would be an example. Unless you can show me where it's a law.
I performed several Google searches linking this topic to Bill O'Reilly and couldn't find one.
