It's true. It's a relatively new law which also includes a provision that fast food restaurants can't serve you if you're overweight. Next time you're in a Mc Burger joint you will notice that in addition to the vertical height measurement on the side of the doors (used to help identify robbers or other criminal types) they now have a horizontal measurement above the door. Employees are supposed to size you up upon entrance and can deny you service if they deem you "too wide." Google it.

That places an unfair responsibility on an employee. I foresee a discrimination lawsuit in the works.

It's strictly a hoax thing. And definitely not, as Hot Hits says, a radio thing.
The way to know it's a hoax is to ask if there are any examples. I haven't seen any. AFAIC, if there were, we'd all hear about it, because the concept is just so outrageous. That tells me it's a hoax.
Last I checked, Bill doesn't have a radio show. And he's not in LA. So perhaps you didn't hear it on the radio. Bill has been known to exaggerate, if you know what I mean, especially about California.

Yes, it could be a radio "thing". I can see why they could make it a health thing and people being ordered to the gym. As everyone should know, we all have a gravitational field. The Earth's is much stronger and we don't notice our individual gravitational field. However if people keep gaining more weight it could increase the gravitational field around your personal space and eventually, like a black hole, suck in radio electromagnetic waves that could never, ever reappear and therefore no music/talk/news would be able to be heard as it would be sucked into oblivion. Also making mandatory gym time for overweight people would eventually make the "Fatty, Fatty, two by four" insult obsolete.
It's off topic, but since you ask, the point might be that THIS would be an example. Unless you can show me where it's a law.
I performed several Google searches linking this topic to Bill O'Reilly and couldn't find one. If he said it, which I doubt (but these days I never say never...) (a) it's meaning was probably taken out of context and (b) this seems to be the only place discussing it.
BTW, I am no Bill fan standing up for my guy, but saying he has been "known to exaggerate... especially about California" without providing any meaningful examples is irresponsible. Bill has commented many times about California's liberal government and specifically on cities like SF and LA's sanctuary city policies, of which he offers strong opinions that some may not like, but I have never heard him exaggerate a fact relating to these issues. But I also don't watch his show everyday, so maybe you know something I don't. Lastly, it may be off-topic, but you are the one that took us there.
Please re-read post #13. I never said the source was Bill O'Reilly. Someone asked the OP his source, and he identified Bill O'Reilly. I questioned that, since Bill doesn't have a radio show. Perhaps "exaggerate" was the wrong word. Because I too have heard him say a lot of things about California's liberal government. That's what I was talking about. Call it what you will.
There is actually language in the boilerplate of the Affordable Care Act which 'could' give the government
power to fine or sanction you for being overweight. Not being utilized in that way. Yet.
