While this is still doable money wise,, with my ADD and slight learning disability I may have trouble tracking ever single song I play for a year, which when looking through the paper work, this is something I have to do, no exceptions. How do you you guys do this,, do you have someone or a computer program to do it for you? Like I said, I have alot to learn.

I'm sure someone actually in the business will pipe in soon, but I would think any radio automation software package would keep track of the songs you play, as long as you use the automation software exclusively for playing your music.

I use ZaraRadio (free) when I want to play music through my antique radios, and it will log the song files.

Are you using scheduling software? You can pull logs from there

OK, I have music on my part 15 running Zara which I cannot even identify ( or replace) because it came from one of my obscure airchex.
I give it a dummy name in my files.
What happens with their logging system with this if I decide to stream one day?

They can't possibly pay anything to the heirs of "Phobe and the Meercats", because they never existed, and someone else really should get credit, but the music is so good it should get airplay whether anyone can EVER find out what or who, it is.

What about my big-name brand commercials from the 60's and 70's I've collected?
The brand names and descriptions of the spots are the filenmes.
I'd hafta go get permission form the existing and defunct brands to run these spots?

I use Station Playlist Creator to schedule my music for the station. It's really affordable (was like $130) and creates my daily logs (can do weekly, monthly logs as well) as well as a weekly playlist. You can use those playlists to create your monthly reports, which have to be done a very specific way for SoundExchage to accept it.

Luckily I don't have to worry about that as Live365 supplies the monthly reports for me (and the other X5000 Broadcasters in my group) based on what aired. We just have to fill out the revenue report and attach the report that Live365 supplies and we are good to go.
