Now I figure this thread will probably die with just this post...Not a problem.

Other threads have made light of the "surveys" that Craig K. has referred to regarding WKNR. On this board and others, it makes for some entertaining reading. We have all heard of similar results when our boss talks about how well liked and how well qualified his brother in law is, when in fact everybody despises the man.

Now with the launch of 92.3 The Fan just days away, I thought of the survey posts and also thought of this "Here at WNCX, we are building our new morning show for you, the listener. Please go to WNCX.com and give us your ideas of what you want to hesr in your morning show!"

So if CBS decides that they want to conduct a survey, my advice is to run faster than you can say "Mudd, Mike, and Mihalic!"
 
Well, I'm not totally naive to think these stations take these surveys very seriously, because they will do whatever they want regardless, however, I do think there is some merit to them. This is not including WKNR, which proved to me immediately that theirs is a total sham.

Not that Twitter should be the end-all-be-all, but if you ever see the "mentions" for Rizzo's or Fedor's account, you will see first hand how despised Fedor and #Goldwimp are on that show. Just the other day, they were talking about how #Goldwimp doesn't have his own Twitter account, and that maybe he should get one. I know the exact reason why he doesn't have one, and it's because it would be so polluted with rips and hate, it would be utterly embarrassing for him.

They always say the vocal minority is all you hear from, but I think in WKNR's case, and with Twitter, you are really seeing the true reactions to their "amateur hour", especially on tRBS.

Can't wait for 92.3 :)
 
Suppose #Goldwimp did get a Twitter account, and folks did send him many a hate tweet. At least WKNR can say that they were responsible for influencing a high amount of social networking activity... and in a few days, they're gonna need all of the help that they can get.
