something on 89.9

On 89.9 yesterday morning and off and on the past few days, in southern Cumberland County, I was picking up some mid-90s era music, no liners, no imaging, where it never was before.
Usually there's nothing there. Once or twice, WDAV from Davidson College.

I see that Columbus County Schools has a cp for a 25kw there. Does anybody know if they are on the air?
On the web, the stream this morning doesn't sound anything like the OTA did yesterday, but that's probably not surprising with a schools-run station...

Gonna assume that's what it is. Today OTA was lounge-like, standards when I heard it.
Still never heard any imaging or ID but heard a PSA (sounded national, school-related, can't remember for what though).

This past summer, I picked up WZCO, Chadbourn, on 89.9. It's only 54 miles from me, yet I only heard it once. Don't know if that helps.

Hey folks.

I help run WZCO and wanted to let you know we are on the air under PTA while we work out an antenna issue.

Local sports and news is a point of emphasis, but we also do bluegrass all day sat and local gospel on sunday mornings.

Hope you'll listen as we grow.

I hope WZCO will get their antenna issues straight soon, because in parts of Whiteville, it's in and out, also i'm aware "Columbus County Schools" are a part of it, is Southeastern Community College a partner, and do you have plans for a website?

This station shouldn't be allowed. It's too close to WHMC, which is at 90.1.

We are as tight as you can get but well within the rules.

If you look on page 8 you can see our contours matched up against WHMC's.

Its 6db as you probably know.... I think most of the new noncomms from the 2007 window are shoehorned....

Our 2nd antenna is going up next week, full power soon after. 26 local sporting events slated through Feb.
