Something to Ponder

Seems like alot of ole' timers around here (I'm 35 and sometimes feel like an old timer), so I thought I would throw this on the wall and see what sticks.

What would you have attempted in radio or your career if you were assured you wouldn't fail?

Talk, that's where the personality (and the money) is. Maybe Engineering, those guys are the true wizards of the business (failure in that job could be hazardous to your health).

35? Ha! You're still a kid! I started in radio when you were born (ouch!)

::) I think when FM came along and began to take hold, I would have tried to take the "SuperStations" CFL, ABC, WLS and of course "BIG APE" and kept them kicking on the FM Band with the same call letters .

I think I would have gone harder for a GM position. Put the emphasis on Programming more than sales. (but still make money)
Can you imagine how much success would come to a station today that took chances instead of answering to the stock holders?

A Gordon McLendon type today would be hugely successful!
