The day power of WAZN is supposed to be 1400 watts, mostly beamed northwest (toward Burlington, Lowell, etc…) from its Lexington transmitter site, with some beamed southeast (toward Boston, Watertown, etc..).
The night pattern is supposed to be 3400 watts mostly beamed southeast (toward Boston, Watertown, etc..) and due south (toward Waltham, Newton, etc…).
Neither one beams much signal of WAZN northeast toward the North Shore or the towns you were listening from. You’re near the WLYN tower on the south side of Lynn just over the bridge from Revere, so that comes in well where you were even on low night power (WLYN is not directional).
But also WAZN’s transmitter or antenna patterns may not be working properly.
