As the person that does a good majority of their imaging, it's been fun the past couple days to read this board.

For those who don't know the Q's new afternoon jock is named Jonathan. Does anyone know anything about him, where he came from?
i heard he was some yankee carpetbagger that roots for the colts.
but then again, he could be someone from meridian's past...
he's also got no hair and looks like...

Hahahaha Well, that's one way of putting it! To answer the previous poster's questions: I'm originally from the area; I even graduated from Philadelphia (MS) High School in 1999. I got my start on Q101 as the night jock in late 2000 and I stayed there for about three and a half years (eventually moving up to music director during that time). I left in mid 2004 to take afternoons/music director at CHR/Rhythmic WNHT (WiLD 96.3) in Fort Wayne, Indiana. I lost my gig there last year due to budget cuts and now I'm back at the Q. I moved back to the area just before last Thanksgiving and did some weekends until the afternoon opening came about.
I'm proud to be able to say that I got my start in this business at the station that I grew up listening to and I'm also happy to be able to say that I'm a part of this great station's nearly 35 year history. Returning to the station in a full time capacity just helps the feeling that things have come full circle and that I've come home.
Thanks for putting up with our stunt over the weekend! While it may have been annoying to some people at times it was fun to hear some of those songs that haven't been played in years (and some that probably should have never been played again!), it did get some attention and helped the new edition of the Q Morning Zoo launch with a bang.

Weekend slots will rotate between long time Q staffer Marc B, Aaron Tyler and another person TBA. Backtrax 80's and 90's, AT40 and Sonrise will continue to air as they previously had.
As for the music, core artists will continue to include Gwen Stefani, Justin Timberlake, Rob Thomas, Kelly Clarkson, Hinder, etc. And, yes, as of right now the rhythmic/urban cuts will continue mainly in the late afternoon and evening.

I've heard Lee 'Lugnut' Taylor many times before and I sure I've heard you (Jonathan) as well.
So is Geller a local jock or someone off satillite? Never heard of him. Ditto for the new overnight guy, but glad that Q has one. I remember hearing the station many times after the night guy signed off and it was just the automation system, really glad there's personality there now.
Is Marc B still hosting the Saturday night dance show? I can remember way back when Saturday nights on Q consisted of Rick Dees Top 40 and Backtrax 80s.
One more question and I'll shut up, for now. Is Q still running jockless on Sunday's? Seems like they've been that way for a long time.

Geller used to work in Salt Lake City before going to Q100 Atlanta. I think he's somewhere else now (St. Louis?), so he's not a local Meridian jock.

Marc B. is not hosting a saturday night dance show at this time. That's not to say that he won't do it but just for now management is holding off on it.
Sundays are taken up by Sonrise 7A-9P and AT40 9A-1P followed by a show by one of the weekend jocks (again, it rotates) 1P-5P. The rest of the evening is jockless.

I am so glad to see that you guys are so kind to one another.....I am also sure that each of you is working in the market you are in now because you turned down a better gig and are really so much better and brighter than the rest of us.
