Ive got one for ya, can any you guys ID this song from the old B-96 playlist. It was on other stations too at the time during mixshows on weekends, but B-96 is the only station I remember playing it during the day outside of mixshows.

The only lyrics I remember are (she's dangerous on the dance floor, yeah she's Dangerous on the Dance floor). I cant remember the exact lyrics, but it was a pretty Dirty Sexual song for radio during this time period. I remember hearing it in my aunts car on the way to wal-mart and my aunt was quite shocked at what she was hearing and she finally changed the station to Q-101, which wasnt modern rock at the time, but instead was an Adult Friendly CHR. I think this was in 92.

This song was probably also played on stations like KPWR and Power Miami, and Hot 97, but I only remember hearing it on B-96, probably because I lived near Chicago at the time.....lol Actually lived in Woodridge Illinois with my rich aunt.

I think you're talking about Musto & Bones "Dangerous on the Dancefloor". One of those guys was a pretty popular east coast DJ at the time (Pete the shaker Bones if I'm not mistaken). Go over to Youtube to verify it ;)

Yes thats it indeed. B-96 played this song back then, and played the whole full 7 minutes of it. I remember WHHH Hot 96 Indianapolis played it during Mixshows, but not in full, and not in dayparts. Thats the only 2 stations I ever remember hearing it on. B-96 played alot of these Hip House records back then.

Not at this time, unless you can ID that euro song from Y-100 in my other post. Thanks. ;D

Oh my god,,,,, You wont believe this but Pulse 87 is playing Dangerous on the Dancelfloor right now as I type this at 12:26 AM...... What are the chances of that happening? I bet someone at pulse was reading this board, how much you wanna bet. I havent heard this song on the radio since 1992.......... They also played Nightcrawlers-Push the feeling on a little bit ago. That was nice classic to throw in.

WXSS has been known to play it every now and then during special programming.... I actually played it when I was filling in middays a few weeks ago!

It's always fun to play songs on the radio that you never ever thought you'd be able to.

It's actually Tommy Musto and Frankie Bones. Both from Brooklyn and former WKRB/B91 members. ;)

Actually, "Dangerous On The Dancefloor" has been part of Pulse's "classic" rotation since the station launched! :) I was driving home hearing it and with a 4 year old in the car hearing the lyrics, I had to flip it! ;D Hearing it brought back those times! And this was one of those "Salkowitz Signature" songs that 'KTU never touched during its run.

When I listen to the lyrics of that song now days it actually sounds pretty mild and non offensive compared to most of the Rap that comes out, especially the album cuts that arent going for radio play. However, thats compared to today's music, it definately wasnt considered mild back then.

Im not surprised that KTU didnt play it since KTU has always been an Adult Friendly/Family Friendly/Work Friendly Rhythmic Dance station.

They played that track on KPWR/Los Angeles, XHTZ/San Diego and KBOS/Fresno as well. Even KIKI/Honolulu spun it several times when I visited Hawaii in 1993.

I didnt know KIKI used to be Dance Friendly,,,, Probably cause ive never been to Hawaii...(SAD BUT TRUE)..... I had seen it listed in radio directory's as Dance top 40, but alot of radio sites list Rhythmic stations as Dance, I figured it was a missprint. I even read that Hot 104.3 was dance heavy back in the day, I do remember 104.3 playing DJ Sammy-Heaven, but nothing else. This must have been during the I-94 period, before they changed to Hot 93.9 and rebranded as Hip hop hits & R&B.....
