I'm trying to find the artist for a song that contains these lyrics:

"here in the city"
"you're pushing too hard"

the vocalist sounds like a younger mick jagger, and it's got a very gritty british rock sort of feel to it. Any ideas?

Probably the wrong song, but "You're pushing too hard" was a song by the Seeds circa 1967.

Good track. This was definitely a new song tho. I think it had a reference to the subway train and a bakery too. It's bugging me not being able to find it.
