Song Identity?

Let's liven this place up a bit - and help me jar this brain cell loose...please!

For those who lived here in the mid-to-late late 70's (maybe even into the early 80s), it was heard from time to time as bumper music on KVOA, in particular on the 10PM news. It wasn't a part of their normal jingle music package they were using at the time - fairly slow, syncopated beat with a couple of lead guitars playing the melody off each other it seemed; one low, one high. Typically, KVOA would only play :30 or so. I'm certain it would have been a staple on the playlist over on KWFM; definitely what one might call 'Slow Redneck Rock' of the time.

I heard it last week on KCDX - of course I didn't really pay attention to what time it was, so I'm drawing blanks on trying to identify title or artist.

Sorry, I couldn't be of more help - any ideas?? Allman Brothers, it's not, so...argh!

Thanks!

It might be from a movie score...still tryin' to figure it out.
