Song on Maine's Coast?

Punching around stations this evening I was shocked to hear Bruce Springsteen's "Radio Nowhere" on WMGX... errr... Coast 93.1!

What's their format again? ???

Maybe this is why Maine's Coast is eroding!

Happy spring to all, now I have to go filter the gold flakes out of the Goldschlager and send it to Cash4Gold... gotta do what I can in a tough economy! ;D

Cheers,
OldPort Wino

probably the first time in 6 months they've played the song and you probably won't hear it again....it's called depth in their playlist, which is missing in the broadcast wold in 2009.

To head off the "Radio in '09" sucks crowd, depth in the playlist is a good thing--but it should be depth that makes sense.

'CYY playing Neil Diamond's Red, Red Wine would certainly be deep--but it would also be stupid. I'm not sure if I can criticize Coast for playing a deep Springsteen cut, however. Not my first choice for the format, but I think it's fair.

The larger argument is: does depth make more sense in a live environment--where the choice to go "deep" (as it were) can be explained (i.e. that was a request from...or...needed to hear that after I heard it on [popular television show])? I would argue yes.
