I note that supposedly smaller commercial stations might only have to pay $5,000/yr under prop. bill,
and college stations only $1,000. Talk stations using music for bumpers, exempt, etc. As I said on a facebook group for WMWM we may have to just start passing the hat...
 
Remember also - in some countries consumers pay taxes on each radio
or TV they own, much like we pay excise taxes on cars here...
just a different way of raising revenue...it has to come from somewhere...

Word has it (I think it was in taylor-on-radio-info) that the 'song tax' issue may not be taken up by Congress
this yr; maybe next yr?
