Even then, it doesn't appear to be as much "I have 10000 songs that I like equally", but "I have a particular favorite song that doesn't get played on the radio". I volunteered at an LPFM that claimed to play everything that was ever recorded in the 60s and 70s, and the regular callers all called for the same forgotten oldie every day.
I'm pretty sure that KISN will play your song.
I'm sorry. I briefly thought I was on a local board. I should have said, "KISN-LP". The stream is "goodguyradio.com".

For the most part, there's not much difference between radio & streaming when you talk about the number of artists played:

Th difference between streaming and broadcast radio is .5%. One half percent!
It's human nature. We now have devices that allow us to access all collected art and knowledge, immeasurably broadening our horizons.

We use them to play songs we already like and watch cat videos.

My horizons have already been broadened to swans and elephants. All it takes is one click on one animal video on YouTube and the algorithm never forgets.

But there's this mythology that people are turning off the radio and streaming to get away from limited playlists The point is that when most people make their own playlists, they're very similar to what we play on the radio.

Probably even more restrictive. There's the whole "Oh, I didn't even think of that one" factor.

A friend of mine (from eastern IA) recently visited (his small business installed the HD radio hardware for 102.9 FM in Cedar Rapids IA).

When he was leaving KC for IA, we talked briefly about streaming music vs radio - he said he nearly always listenes to radio in his car because he makes decisions all the time as a business owner and in the case of music listening, someone else is making the music selections/decisions.

I recommended KCMO FM and KCKC FM.

Well, they like one song. I haven't seen evidence that they're digging into her catalogue.
During the comeback of "Running up That Hill", her song "Wuthering Heights" (originally a #1 UK hit in 1978) reached #34 on the UK Singles Downloads chart in June 2022.

That was only in the UK. No residual chart action in the US. As I said, I've seen no evidence of music fans digging deeper into her catalog, in the way we've seen with Taylor Swift. Then again, not much is similar to TS.

Probably because Running Up That Hill is (personal editorial being inserted) friggin' horrible. Chorus is like scraping a fork down an aluminum pizza pan.
