Songs to look out for

1. Nickelback-Lullaby
I hope this does well
2. Jason Mraz-I Won't Give Up
I hope with the success of I'm Yours this will do well
3. All American Rejects-Bee Keeper's Daughter
Hope this charts well
4. Flo-Rida-Wild Ones
This won't have any problems charting-it better not, Flo-Rida always delivers good music

^I think the problem is that Clear Channel, Cumulus, and CBS own both Hot ACs and CHRs, and right now the only thing differentiating the two formats is bands like Daughtry and Nickelback (which are popular with people in their 30s)

If these big corporations let their CHRs play Daughtry and Nickelback, there would be very little differentiating their CHRs from their Hot ACs

Flo Rida doesn't sound the same as much as Daughtry - seems like a lot of their songs sound alike (No Surprise, Feels Like Tonight, Home, What About Now especially)

I think Nickelback has some left in them if they would write songs that weren't all the same and came up with creative lyrics oh wait they don't and they might have a shot because 95% of the Top 40 music now a days lyrics' aren't creative and are stupid.

"When We Stand Together", which I though was one of their better songs, didn't do much on CHR. I think that Nickelback has been so polarizing, that the next single may not get much traction on CHR.

Perhaps in an alternate universe, the song "Video Games" by Lana Del Rey would become huge on CHR/Pop radio, but one could always dream. :)

It's regrettable that she bombed so badly on Saturday Night Live (at least in her Video Games performance), but I'm still a fan of her music.

Nickelback should release a song featuring Flo Rida. Remember what Linkin Park and Jay-Z did?

Oh, and don't say Nickelback can't make a comeback. I remember when I thought it was over for J-Lo, Enrique Iglesias, Madonna, Eminem, Britney Spears, Maroon 5, Dr Dre, and even The Backstreet Boys and New Kids on The Block when it came to chr mainstream pop. ALL of them ended up making a comeback on CHR at some leve after 2007 and beyond. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if LL Cool J popped out with something.

Except for Maroon 5 (whose latest single is rhythmic friendly), those are rhythmic or rhythmic friendly artists. It doesn't surprise me that they've been able to come back on CHR, since they fit the 'sound' that CHR has had for the past few years. Nickelback and Daughtry are rock- totally different cases, IMO, since they are a genre that the format isn't too hip on.

Artists who make "comebacks" usually do so because other people are writing for them (or co-writing) - since most rock artists write their own stuff, comebacks are pretty rare
