Sonovox effect for CoolEdit?

Does anyone make a downloadable plug-in for CoolEdit that will recreate or approximate that froggy Sonovox effect? Some of you may remember hearing it on the old MusicRadio 77 WABC jingles of yore. Does CoolEdit already have that effect and I just haven't come across it yet?

My understanding is that you cannot duplicate the Sonovox with software, as of present. You can get sort of close using a vocoder, though. There's one in the CEP multitrack or many third-party plug-ins. Chaining a dynamic EQ with the vocoder can do a pretty convincing job, but not quite right.

I seem to recall a similiar discussion over on audiomastersforum.org Seems they reached the same conclusion. But somebody came pretty close. Might try doing a search on it on that forum.

WAVES Diamond and Platinum packages has a "Morphoder" plug that comes close to a vocoder. And I thought PT's had a plug called "Orange", or something like that, that came close.

Isn't the actual jingle vocode effect done with an instrument one puts in one's mouth, kinda like what Frampton does?
