Aside from the fact that this is BIG, being that a major corporation such as Sony is recognizing dance/EDM, I'm still on the fence on whether or not this is a good thing. Hopefully more of our product gets on radio with Sony behind it......

This is indeed a big surprise. With this move, this could mean more exposure for Ultra acts like Kaskade, Deadmau5, Calvin Harris, Alexandra Stan, Inna, Yolanda Be Cool, and Haley. Lets hope that this union pays off big time.

Calvin's imprint label Fly Eye is distributed by Ultra, which is why when you see "Sweet Nothing" it lists Deconstruction/Fly Eye/Ultra/Roc Nation/Columbia as the labels that released the single. Either way, Harris is good company with (now) five Sony-affiliated labels!

Correct. However, he has been signed to Sony since 2006, so this deal would make sense.

Alternative Distribution Alliance/Warner was its distributor from 2006 to its Sony deal, save for their joint venture on their compilations through RED. EMI handled its non-US distribution rights in Canada and Vital handled its UK license rights.
