I just received a few Sony ICF-S10MK2 hand-held radios from J&R for $10/each, including shipping. The radio is amaizing for its size, and outperforms my digital PLL radios. Here is a review of it on RadioIntel.com:

Do any of you own this radio ?

Sony makes some pretty amazing little AM radios. I notice you have it near a Radio Shack loop, which will turn virtually any AM radio into a DX monster!

Last night, New Orleans, Chicago, Des Moines, New York, Atlanta, Boston, and St. Louis all came in like local stations from Maryland, with just the the ICF-S10MK2's internal ferrite-bar. It is so nice having an analog tuner again, and it doesn't seem to drift, as the article stated, "It is possible that the Sony ICF-S10MK2 uses a similar receiver chip and ferrite rod as their $90 digital portables." This radio is awesome, handsome, and feels like real good quality, and only $10 !
