Well, I tried DLing a sample version of samplitude, and that didn't work. When the recorder is plugged into the USB port it reads: PC>MD, which obviously indicates that's the only direction it plans to go. I guess I should be more specific with my question: which program are you (whoever) using to pull audio from a portable MD recorder onto your hard drive? Also, what are the steps necessary to pull this off once the program is in place? Thanks in advance.

FWIW, I already have Adobe Audition 1.5 on my comp, so if anyone knows this trick on that it would be great...

TN...

I am guessing you want to transfer audio that you have recorded on a MD to your PC. Easier said than done

As you have found most NetMD Machines will only allow for a PC to MD transfer.

Good news/Bad News...Good news, you can transfer from a recorded MD to your PC. Bad news, you may need a new player.

A stop by http://www.minidisc.org/index.php will supply some answers.

Currently the Sony MZ-RH1 is the only model that will allow you to transfer Standard MD and Hi-MD recordings from the MD to your PC. The Sony MZ-M100 will allow you to transfer Hi-MD recordings to your PC.

You will need a Sony Program called Sonic Stage in order to perform the transfers. It is a cumbersome program that can be difficult to work with.

Hope this helps...

Thanks for the help. I've messed with Sonic Stage previously and it sucks. I just thought there was finally a decent way to transfer now that two or three years have passed. Oh well.

Anyone have ATL studio access I could hook-up so I can transfer some stuff? I promise not to sabotage anything.

(worth a shot)
