Soon-to-be independent stations and syndicated shows

I happen to come across this at the Patty Winter's Canadian Drama Page (www.wintertime.com/OH/candrama.html):

January 23, 2006 -

As the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) convention kicks off in Las Vegas, Program Partners has announced that stations covering 60% of the U.S. television market have already purchased Crime Watch, the company's two-hour syndicated block consisting of "Cold Squad" and "Stone Undercover" ("Tom Stone"). The two shows will debut on U.S. stations this fall. Program Partners is bringing those series to the States following its success with "Da Vinci's Inquest," which continues to perform very well, including being first in its time slot in a number of cities.

Note the date and timing of this all. Is there a possibility some of the soon-to-be former UPN and WB affiliates will carry this block of programs and air it in primetime?

Your thoughts...

Possibly, but I bet most of these are the same Tribune stations that'll be getting CW, since Davinci's Inquest is on a lot of those.

This reeks of "Hollywood Premiere Network" - you know, the people that brought you "She-Wolf of London" and that other show with those two idiot "aliens"...
