Soon-to-be-vacated nights on My Network TV

I think one source suggested SVU to replace CI on Monday nights. Also, 5th Grader and Don't Forget The Lyrics will leave syndication in a few months. What are the current top hit TV shows either by Fox and/or (co-)produced by Fox Television Studios? Here are some ideas:

1. American Dad!
2. America's Most Wanted
3. Cops
4. Fringe
5. Glee
6. How I Met Your Mother
7. Raising Hope
8. The Cleveland Show
9. The Simpsons

Simpsons and Cops are already way overrun in syndication, and AMW isn't a fit for the format. Glee in syndication would be a hit for the network, though, but I don't know any details of how it'd work.

How I Met Your Mother is already on WGN America in addition to local affiliates. We don't need to see it on a third network. The show is not even good enough to watch first-run.

Does it have to be a show produced by Fox? FX is the home of Sony Pictures-produced Rescue Me, which already has 93 episodes produced. Could it be cleaned up enough for broadcast on My NetworkTV?

I still say The X-Files would be an easy plug in for one night of 2-3 episodes.

I would make a point of tuning in to watch that.

how about shutting it down and giving it back to the affiliates !!

I'd be for that. But most of them would probably end up with mediocre movies (at best), or trash talk and/or infomercials (at worst).

My Network TV (such an original name for a network). It has turned into My Two Hours of Nothing.
I think I'd prefer a 2 hour movie instead. They should team up with TCM.

It wouldn't matter to me. I don't have My Network on my "active" list anyway. They are nothing but Fox regurgitated.

Wish I'd seen this post before replying to the last. I agree. There are many things that could be done instead of replaying old Fox junk.

When the station that is now MNTV first came on-air here they were primarily a movie station in the evenings and weekends. Many old interesting "back of the vault" movies not seen in modern times. As soon as they became a second-tier affiliate of Fox they became unwatchable....much the same as Fox has always been.

I remember at one time when Wikipedia announced that My Network TV would take in Supernatural, although that has since been retracted. I suppose that could replace the game shows this fall...

Or they could pick up affiliations to one of the three Retro TV Networks out there like RTV, MeTV or Antenna TV? The return of classic tv to broadcast television!

I'd suggest the following shows.....

24
Lost
ER
Star Trek (Except TOS & Enterprise)
CSI (All Shows)
The First 48 (The show featuring REAL police detectives solving crimes that started out on cable & has never been syndicated)
Dog The Bounty Hunter (See above)

Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.....

Cheers :D

They can't touch "Monk" until they run all the episodes. This is the best show on TV!

Plus I haven't seen the end of the one set on an airplane because I taped it and rewound too far, thinking I was rewinding through something I hadn't seen, and I didn't have time to finish (fortunately).

And I did the same thing when Monk figured out how the murders were committed n the episode where it took multiple maids to make his hotel room satisfactory.
