As far as Boortz, I've always felt the 8:30-9 half hour was a waste. That's before the syndication starts at 9, and he talks almost exclusively about personal things, his plane, his condo, his surgery, what's new with Belinda's kid, etc. His real show starts at 9.

Agreed. That's why I switched from Boortz to TRG.

And don't get me started on John Boy & Billy--they're either talent-free, or they remind me of a morning zoo crew from 20 years ago (and Mark McCain-heck--MMc Wake Up Crew reruns--could stomp their butts anyway if that's what you're looking for), or they're like Imus and Stern--if you haven't been listening to them for eons you just don't get the jokes. Not sure what about them turns me off...

Hubby flies an MD-11 almost all international unless it is a ferry flight in the US ...Has exp in the DC-10 and the RJ-700-- but none of that is important. After all this is Radio-info.com not flightinfo.com I was a news reporter for about 10 years.. here, Jax ( where good o'l L&T are from--- and L.A. (Los Angeles KFWB)worked for GST for about a year.. I've got AP awards golden mikes etc.... have had many offers to do news in other places but never could get it to work here in Atlanta.. which is to bad I really like it here..Now I'm a stay at home Mommy-to an almost 1 yr old..... by far the toughest Job I've ever had!

I miss morning radio miss radio in general.. but now I'm watching Sesame Street while everyone else is listening to sub par Atlanta radio--I only get to listen on my way to the Gym around 9 and when I meet the ladies for lunch around 12... but I still miss the hustle that is radio

i flipped to dave for few minutes today. music was decent. r they going more alt or did i just catch them at a good time? then the guy started talking so turned it.
his voice makes me clear my throat, hes horse like he was yelling all night. he needs to go.

Dave did one smart thing re: Zakk-they didn't advertise him. They can bail when ready which we can only hope is sooner than later. They should put the original Morning X on. I think they all 3 live here and that is their old audience. Together, they were solid and I bet they all have interesting perspectives after all the past drama. I would listen.

S&V are going to kill it in sales as would the original X show.

Sorry, I don't agree. Zakk is the main reason I listen to morning radio. His show is fresh, they have great guests and Zakk keeps it interesting...to the point I am listening to what Zakk is saying more than doing my work some days. Plus, they play music which is what I want in the morning.

Who HAVE they advertised? They seem content playing in the background.

As for L&T, I picked this up from Wikipedia: "...After a contract dispute with Cox Communications (who wanted more control over the show than the hosts were willing to give), Lex and Terry left Cox and signed with Clear Channel."

I'm still pondering that one...

I like the Boortz 8:30 to 9am portion.
It usually is heavily Atlanta slanted which suits me better than all the fair tax stuff day after day.
Neil is still the local king, hands down.
