SOSD: Dave Palet Fired From XTRA Sports

Looks like another round of CCU deck clearing without a contract to me ..... "hellol Lubbock ... respond"
 
Clear Channel sold as private company at a discount. You can ear-witness the carnage in the market. Various hosts are either working with are at approaching the end of the personal services contract.

There by the cost mandate from beautiful downtown San Antonio is to cut cost. Having Dave Palet out of the picture saves some money.

It is no discord that Dave, Jeff and Mike ... along with Bill Pugh are responsible for the non-existent numbers. Neither is Brian Wilson. All five are professionals. Sports radio has been a hard target ... make that a hard measurable target ... to meter.

There is nothing wrong with the current or the proposed lineup. With Dan Patrick and the Content Factor coming on board ~~ because of a quality show ~~ expect a shuffle in the current line up.

Please blame Clear Channel, but please blame them from the corporate offices. In fact, I am surprised that the Texas Tea crowd hasn't made more suggestions to the line up. Then again, that's a stay tuned item.

Dear Diary: Will the OPS manager there do ANYTHING to improve the ratings? Is firing the highest profile jock to bring in his brother a GOOD thing? Are phone calls to the station about Arbitron diaries NOT being returned? Rome is burning and the GM is MIA. In an unrelated issue I would say that attempting to manipulate Arbitron diaries is a very serious issue.
 
From what I heard, Dave Palet and XTRA Sports came to some sort of mutual agreement.
It's mud on their face if they can let their best host go to the competition, and BELIEVE ME, that's where he'll wind up.

Go Dave- stick it to 'em.

That is some sort of "agreement" - it sounds like the guy who told his friend:

"I broke up with my girlfriend."

The friend asked, "Oh, why was that?"

And it appears much of the disinformation was aimed at convincing you he wasn't asked to leave. :)
 
Dave,

Sue Arbitron for EVERYTHING you can get out of those greasy pigs,
then take it over and FIX it.

It seems they have been getting too big for their britches lately.

First PPM, Then Providence, Then PPM round II, and Now DAVE!

I'm waiting to hear how many cancel their subscriptions after this one.

EVEN In the small markets station personnel get diaries sent to them and
YET it's distorted. :eek:
