Hey All,
I currently use ESI JULI sound card for streaming and also in another computer which runs a automation program which in turns goes into the Optimod 8200 I have.I would be interested in hearing what sound cards you guys use. I might upgrade it. I dont have the money for the Orban sound card but if you can advise on another option not to expensive and have found it better I would be gald to hear it. Thanks

We use a ASI 5042 on our on-air machine (terrestrial broadcast).

Now, are you asking about an audio card for streaming only? If so, the ESI Juli@ is a nice card for that purpose. Many use a Delta 44 for streaming, but I personally wouldn't put out the money to "upgrade" to the Delta.

I'm using a M-Audio Audiophile 192. If I have a glance at the ESI it's quit the same in specs with the ESI having swappable i/o interfaces in favor. I find the M-Audio is great value for money. I run the digital output of the card into the DSPXtreme and it's digital out back into the digital input for streaming. Works great.

I've had good luck with EMU cards, I have both the 0404 and 0202 cards. I like their price...there are better cards...but for what you get, they're a bargain.

These guys are using the analogic input of an old Creative SBLive http://195.242.89.98:8000/listen.pls and the source is the analog output from a Prodigy 7.1LT by Audiotrack connected to the broadcast mixer, of course. I personally use the digital input of an Optimod PC card, but for the moment the listening will give fake results, because we are moving to another location and the capture is from the satellite receiver, and the audio is bad, until we will have the OnAir3000 from Studer, up and running. I recommend the Orban card, very nice processing, if you spend time to do it.

Many of those listed are not balanced audio card which is what you really need above all else, try the Echo Mia Midi
