Sound quality live stream WNEW(HD)

I experience some level problems on the livestreams. Sometimes the music is louder and sometimes the music is very soft, for example with the 'interviews and music from the archives'. It sounds to flat everytime I must turn the volume knob of my speakers up and down when the audio is harder or to soft. I don't no how it sounds on HD? But the livestream sounds very crappy.
And b.t.w. there are lots of quiet moments between the tracks, so it sounded like a random CD player to me.

The old WNEW-FM used to always have dead air between tracks and after music. It was part of their "we're too cool and laid back to run a tight board " attitude. It must have been a requirement to treat all that hippy music they played like it was Mozart or Beetoven. Rather! I always prefered 95 and a half.

Ok. But the sound quality these days must be better than it is now on this stream I bet. There is no processing on the stream yet.

I have a HD Radio and the station sounds very good.

Strange that the sound from the livestream not sounding good at the moment. The feed this stream direct from the output from the PC or mix controls without any processing between. All the CBS stations sounding better than WNEW at the moment. I hope they fix this! I'm tired to turn my volume up and down again. :(

I think they find the Optimod. It sound much, much better now on the livestream. Also no dead air between songs anymore so it sounded like a radiostation to me. Excellent!
