I noticed the sound quality of Channel 818 (Mix) is awful. I haven't noticed the "tin" type sound on the other channels. Is there a fix?

Eric Logan said on Opie and Anthony today that they're aware of many of the DirecTV problems, and are working to fix them. Getting it on the air was their biggest priority.

Eric Logan should address the sound quality of XM in general. The promise of "CD quality sound" is the biggest lie going with both of the satellite services. Neither are anywhere close to CD quality sound. Hell, my MP3's sound better and I would contend that most channels are just above cassette tape SQ level.
Both services are screwed. To make money they have to have a lot of channels and to do that they have to sacrafice bandwidth per channel. It is pretty clear that give some channels more bandwidth than others, but none are the promised CD quality sound.

It sounded like it was out of phase. It seems to have been corrected now. Can't believe how many people over Thanksgiving mentioned the addition of XM to DirecTV. Nice timing for the Christmas holiday to get people in the habit of flipping on the TV to hear music.

Right on brother! Couldn't have said it better myself. XM on Aol does sound good though. Make sure you listen through AOL Radio and not XM's streams which don't sound any better than xm itself.
