Sound quality vs. content

am-fm

Since I got my 1st GE SR3 at the same time the "Real Oldies" wave hit, I had the chance to listen to the revial of great stations like KB and WSAI.

Did it cross my mind that it would sound better on FM? Of course it would! But its the content, not the quality, that made me listen. It's Jack Armstron or Cool Bobby B that would make me sit through the skywave fade, not the sound quality.

As long as its not artifact laden and completely taken over by static, I will listen. I pay 12.95 per month for satellite radio for the content, not the sound quality (which on XM sucks).

Would KB have dont better if it had been on FM? Yeah - but how manny people hit the AM/FM button on the radio?
